Tax Manager, Professional Services

Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Tax Manager, Professional Services, to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities Lead and manage tax compliance for federal, state, and local income tax returns, with a strong emphasis on Corporate filings for clients in the professional services industry.

Ensure all tax filings are accurate, timely, and in compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations

Oversee the maintenance and organization of tax records and documentation

Drive tax planning initiatives and provide strategic advisory services tailored to professional services businesses

Identify and implement tax-saving opportunities and strategies to minimize tax liabilities

Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues, including corporate tax structures, and deliver innovative solutions

Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong relationships

Understand clients’ business operations, industry-specific challenges, and strategic goals to deliver customized tax advice

Communicate complex tax issues and regulatory updates clearly and effectively to clients

Supervise, mentor, and develop junior tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment

Contribute to recruitment efforts and the development of technical expertise within the tax team

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of progressive tax experience

Public accounting experience

Professional services industry required

Expertise in corporate and partnership taxation

In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations CPA preferred
