OverviewGovCIO is currently hiring for a Financial Analyst to support our National Security Sector. This position will be fully remote within the United States, with the office located in Fairfax, VA. The candidate may have to visit the Fairfax office multiple times a year.
Responsibilities- Assist in preparing timely and accurate financial reporting deliverables including program trend analysis, variance analysis against budget and prior forecasts and monthly reporting for executive management
- Support Senior Financial Analyst in managing large program with multiple task orders and contribute to quarterly forecasts and annual operating budgets
- Provide foundational analysis of key program drivers, risks, and opportunities
- Prepare data and analysis to support program operational reviews
- Support the program month-end close process including cost accruals, revenue recognition and expense reviews
- Monitor subcontracting spending and assist with subcontractor voucher approvals
- Collaborate with Accounting, Contracts, Procurement and other corporate back-office departments to support program operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor's with 2-5 years (or commensurate experience)
- 2-5 years in Finance role (Program Finance, Project Control and/or Financial Planning and Analysis)
Foundational understanding of Government Contracting concepts and basic familiarity with CAS, FAR, and GAAP principles
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas); advanced skills are a plus but not required
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relay information clearly
Self‑motivated team contributor with willingness to learn and grow
Familiarity with common contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost Type) is helpful but not essential
Candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoW security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required
Preferred Skills and ExperienceExposure to Deltek Costpoint, TM1 Forecasting software, or Cognos Reporting
Experience managing OCONUS programs is a plus but not required
Active DoW clearance is a plus but not required
Posted Salary RangeUSD $60,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 /Yr.
