Mercor is partnering with leading AI research organizations to engage experienced Financial Managers in evaluating and improving next-generation AI systems. In this role, you will apply your expertise in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, banking operations, credit management, and strategic financial planning to assess AI-generated financial content and workflows.
This opportunity is ideal for professionals who have managed financial operations at the branch, department, office, or organizational level. You will review financial plans, budgets, forecasts, reporting processes, and business scenarios to ensure outputs reflect real-world financial management practices and professional standards.
The work is fully remote, flexible, and focused on practical financial management applications. No prior AI experience is required.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate AI-generated financial plans, budgets, forecasts, and management reports for accuracy and quality.
- Review financial management workflows and business processes for practicality and effectiveness.
- Compare multiple AI-generated responses and assess financial soundness, compliance, and decision-making quality.
- Analyze financial scenarios involving budgeting, cash flow management, pricing strategies, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Identify errors, inconsistencies, unrealistic assumptions, and compliance concerns.
- Provide detailed written feedback explaining strengths, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities.
- Assess financial recommendations against real-world management practices and industry standards.
- Evaluate reporting structures, financial controls, and operational decision-making frameworks.
- Contribute expert insights to improve AI performance in finance and financial management tasks.
- 4+ years of experience as a Financial Manager, Finance Director, Branch Manager, Financial Planning Manager, Financial Reporting Manager, or a closely related financial management role.
- Experience overseeing accounting, banking, credit, insurance, securities, financial planning, or related financial operations.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
- Ability to evaluate complex financial scenarios and management decisions.
- Ability to commit at least 20 hours per week.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience leading financial operations at the branch, departmental, regional, or corporate level.
- Background in banking, insurance, corporate finance, financial planning, investment management, or accounting.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, CMA, CFP, or equivalent.
- Experience reviewing financial controls, compliance processes, and operational performance metrics.
- Familiarity with financial management software, reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms.
- $70–$110/hour
