Senior Tax Accountant

Our client is seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join their fully remote finance team. This role is central to managing the company's tax compliance and strategy across various jurisdictions. You will be responsible for tax planning, preparation of tax returns, and ensuring adherence to all relevant tax laws and regulations. This position offers the flexibility of a fully remote role, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to critical financial operations.

• Prepare and file all corporate tax returns accurately and on time, adhering to South African tax legislation.
• Conduct tax research and provide advice on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities legally.
• Manage tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities (e.g., SARS).
• Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and documentation requirements.
• Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and advise the business accordingly.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA(SA) or CTA qualification is preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of specialized experience in corporate tax accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of South African tax law (Income Tax Act, VAT Act, etc.).
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
