Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Partner, Emerging Companies Group to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients across high-growth and emerging business sectors

Apply strong business judgment to understand client needs and challenges and deliver tailored advisory services

Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans

Evaluate tax implications of key business decisions, including capital raises, transactions, geographic expansion, and equity programs

Review federal, state, and local tax filings to ensure compliance and risk mitigation

Monitor changes in tax laws and regulatory guidance and assess potential client impact

Guide multistate tax considerations, nexus exposure, and related compliance matters

Support clients with equity compensation planning and incentive structures

Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering technical development and performance

Drive client development and practice growth through proactive outreach, market strategy, and thought leadership Requirements
16+ years of public accounting experience

Extensive experience in providing tax advisory and compliance services to emerging companies and entrepreneurs

Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and their application to a startup business

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Leadership experience and ability to manage a team Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Strong business acumen and ability to think strategicallyCPA required
