Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Project Manager with a background in finance to lead critical projects within their financial services operations in Sandton . This role is pivotal in driving the successful execution of financial initiatives, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and strategic business goals. You will manage projects related to system implementations, process improvements, and compliance within a fast-paced financial environment.

The hybrid nature of this role allows for effective on-site collaboration with key teams and remote management of project tasks, fostering efficiency and driving impactful financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage financial projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
Develop detailed project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource requirements for financial initiatives .
Collaborate closely with finance departments, IT teams, and business stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure alignment.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing proactive mitigation strategies.
Ensure all projects comply with relevant financial regulations and internal policies for the Sandton office.
Monitor project progress, conduct status reviews, and communicate updates effectively to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management , with a significant focus on financial services or banking projects.
Proven experience managing projects related to financial systems, regulatory compliance, or process improvements.
Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and the financial services industry.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Experience working in a hybrid environment , adept at managing tasks remotely and collaborating on-site.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; PMP certification is a plus.
