Our client, a well‑established regional law firm with a highly regarded financial services practice, is seeking an experienced Finance Attorney with 8+ years of experience to join its team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior attorney seeking a sophisticated financial institutions practice representing banks, credit unions, and other regulated financial services organizations. The successful candidate will advise clients on a broad range of transactional, regulatory, and operational matters while enjoying substantial autonomy and opportunities for client development.
Responsibilities- Advise financial institutions on a wide range of legal and business matters
- Represent banks, credit unions, and other financial services organizations regarding:
- Commercial lending transactions
- Complex financing transactions
- Regulatory compliance
- Corporate governance matters
- Strategic business initiatives
- Assist clients with:
- Financial institution mergers and acquisitions
- Branch transactions
- Corporate restructurings
- Strategic growth initiatives
- Counsel clients regarding state and federal banking regulations
- Support complex loan workouts and recovery matters
- Advise on lender liability issues and financial services disputes
- Assist with consumer financial services compliance matters
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Participate in business development and practice growth initiatives
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in the state where the attorney will practice
- 8+ years of relevant finance, banking, or financial services experience
- Experience advising:
- Banks
- Credit unions
- Financial institutions
- Commercial lenders
- Strong transactional, regulatory, and client counseling skills
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication abilities
- Ability to independently manage client matters
- Business development experience or portable client relationships preferred
- Strong client-service orientation
- Commercial lending
- Banking and financial institution regulation
- Mergers and acquisitions involving financial institutions
- Regulatory compliance counseling
- Loan workouts and restructuring
- Lender liability matters

- Base Salary: $185,000 - $250,000 annually
- Total compensation may significantly exceed base salary through:
