Startup Partnerships Advisor - Fractional CFO - Los Angeles

Acquisition Network builds relationships across founder, investor, operator, and professional communities. For this initiative, we are expanding a network of independent professionals who can recognize when a founder is preparing to raise capital and connect that founder with an appropriate next step.

Acquisition Network is hiring a Startup Partnerships Advisor with fractional CFO experience in Los Angeles. You will build relationships with startup finance professionals and founders, recognize companies approaching a fundraising decision, and coordinate relevant introductions to our team. Your finance background should help you understand the questions founders face before a raise without requiring you to perform client finance work for Acquisition Network.

• Develop relationships with founders, fractional CFOs, finance consultants, and startup operators in Los Angeles.
• Identify companies considering a capital raise, acquisition, or other material financing event.
• Discuss each founder's goals, timing, readiness, and constraints at a high level.
• Determine whether an introductory conversation with our team would be relevant.
• Make introductions only after receiving the founder's permission.
• Record useful context, relationship activity, and agreed follow-up accurately.
• Share general market patterns that can help us improve founder support and partner outreach.

• Experience as a fractional CFO, startup finance leader, finance consultant, controller, or closely related advisor.
• Working knowledge of cash planning, financial models, fundraising preparation, reporting, and investor diligence.
• Existing relationships with founders or startup service providers in Los Angeles.
• Consultative communication skills and the ability to establish credibility with senior decision-makers.
• Strong professional judgment, organization, and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently in a remote contractor environment.

This is a paid, remote independent contractor opportunity focused on relationship development and qualified introductions in Los Angeles. Scope, performance expectations, and compensation will be confirmed in the written contractor agreement.
