Job Description & How to Apply Below

Home-based/ Field based, covering North Walsham, Swaffham and Holt

An opportunity for an experienced Financial Planner to join a highly respected, customer-owned financial services organisation, working with an established network of local insurance agencies and their customers.

This role offers a strong foundation for building your business: warm introductions from an existing customer base, a trusted brand and full paraplanning, technical and administrative support.

It would suit a Financial Planner who enjoys meeting clients face-to-face, developing professional relationships and becoming part of the local business community.

The opportunity

You will work closely with between one and three local insurance agencies, each typically supporting around 2,500 existing customers. Building strong relationships with the agents will be central to your success, helping them identify customers who could benefit from financial planning advice.

You will provide advice across pensions, investments, protection and estate planning, developing lasting client relationships through a personal approach.

Although home-based, this is an active, field-focused position. You will typically spend three to four days each week visiting agency offices, meeting clients and attending local events or agricultural shows alongside agents.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Developing strong working relationships with local agents and their teams
  • Following up warm introductions and identifying customers’ financial planning needs
  • Providing tailored advice across retirement planning, investments, protection and estate planning
  • Building and maintaining long-term client relationships

Supporting the agencies’ engagement with their local communities
  • Working with specialist support teams to deliver a high standard of advice and service

The organisation has more than 110 years of heritage and an established reputation within rural and business communities. Its customer-owned structure supports a long-term approach to client relationships, while its growing financial planning proposition creates opportunities for ambitious advisers.

You will have access to an established customer network, alongside the support needed to spend your time building relationships and advising clients.

The package
  • Basic salary of £50,000–£65,000, depending on experience
  • OTE circa £80,000, with further earning potential through an uncapped new business bonus
  • Company-wide bonus of up to 5%
  • Pension contributions of up to 20%
  • Full paraplanning, technical and administrative support
About you

You will be an experienced, Level 4 Diploma-qualified Financial Planner who enjoys face-to-face advice and understands the value of building trusted introducer relationships.

You should be comfortable working independently across your territory, proactive in developing opportunities and committed to delivering a high standard of client service.

An interest in local businesses and rural communities would be valuable, alongside the ambition to develop a sustainable financial planning business over time.
