Tax Manager

Our client is the leading provider of financial insurance. They seek a Tax Manager to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities Review federal, state, and international income tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations

Prepare and review quarterly estimated tax payments, extensions, and related tax filings

Oversee the preparation and review of income tax provisions under ASC 740 and SSAP 101, including deferred tax calculations and financial statement disclosures

Reconcile current and deferred tax accounts while maintaining supporting schedules and tax-related balance sheet analyses

Coordinate with external tax advisors on international tax compliance, reporting requirements, and foreign tax filings

Manage tax examinations and respond to inquiries from federal, state, and international taxing authorities

Maintain SOX documentation, tax controls, and supporting evidence for internal and external audit requirements

Research complex tax matters and prepare technical memoranda to support accounting positions and tax planning initiatives

Monitor changes in tax legislation and evaluate the impact of new regulations on the organization

Lead, mentor, and develop tax team members while supporting process improvements and departmental initiatives

Requirements6-10 years of corporate tax experience

Financial services is a plusASC
740/SSAP 101 is a plus Management experience requiredCPA required
