Responsible for the coordination, oversight, and delivery of technical work on client engagements involving complex accounting and tax consulting matters. Provide strategic tax guidance for planning to minimize client liabilities while complying with local, state, federal, and international laws. Define the scope of tax compliance and planning engagements by analyzing federal/state tax provisions and identifying required tax returns, tax elections & disclosures, and critical tax accounting methods for adjustment of taxable income applicable to middle-market and multinational companies, high-net worth individuals, trusts, & estates.

Design tax engagement processes, establishing adequate personnel and technology resources and time budgets. Prepare fee estimates & budgets for project terms and client approval. Provide input for the assignment and scheduling of tax associates for tax engagements. Escalate critical tax issues identified during the engagement to subject matter experts or tax partners, including international tax, state & local, M&A, or special accounting method issues.

Monitor tax engagements, lead internal team meetings, resolve scheduling conflicts, and ensure client support. Review completeness of individual and business income tax returns (inclusive of Forms 1040, 1040-, 1120,…
