Job Description & How to Apply Below

At Simplyhealth, we're on a mission to improve access to healthcare for all in the UK. As a Financial Planning & Analysis Partner, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of the business by providing high-quality insight, forecasting and decision support to senior stakeholders across the Group.

This is a highly visible role at the heart of our Finance function, responsible for leading the end-to-end planning cycle including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and scenario analysis. You'll ensure financial plans are robust, aligned to business priorities and supported by meaningful analysis that helps drive strategic and operational decision-making.

Working closely with Finance, Data, BI, Underwriting & Pricing and wider business teams, you'll develop sophisticated financial models, challenge assumptions and provide insight that identifies risks, opportunities and actions that support business performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Group's budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
  • Coordinating planning activity across stakeholder groups and ensuring timely delivery of outputs for Executive and Board review.
  • Developing and maintaining financial models to support planning, business decisions and scenario analysis.
  • Producing insightful analysis across income statements, balance sheets, cash flow and key business performance indicators.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packs, including Board and Executive reporting.
  • Providing commentary and recommendations that support informed decision-making.
  • Supporting strategic initiatives through business case development, investment appraisal and post-implementation reviews.
  • Undertaking scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to evaluate financial impact and risk.
  • Supporting regulatory reporting and governance activities, including contributions to the ORSA process.
  • Driving continuous improvement across reporting, forecasting, modelling and finance technology capabilities.
About You

We're looking for a commercially focused and technically strong finance professional who enjoys turning data into meaningful insight and influencing decision-making at a senior level. You'll combine excellent analytical capability with strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge constructively.

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • A recognised finance qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Significant FP&A experience within a complex and regulated environment.
  • Strong expertise across budgeting, forecasting, performance management and long-range planning.
  • Advanced financial modelling skills with experience building and challenging sophisticated models.
  • The ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable business insight.
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles, management reporting and financial controls.
  • Experience operating within regulated financial services, insurance or similar environments.
  • Strong systems and analytical capability, including experience with Dynamics 365, Power BI and Power Apps.
  • An interest in leveraging technology, automation and AI to improve planning and forecasting processes.
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills, with the credibility to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Most importantly, you'll be a collaborative and commercially minded individual who enjoys solving complex problems, challenging thinking and helping the business make better decisions through high-quality financial insight.
