Senior Risk Manager - Financial Services

Our client, a prominent financial services provider, is seeking an experienced Senior Risk Manager to join their fully remote operations. This critical position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization's risk management framework. • Conduct regular risk assessments and stress testing to evaluate the organization's resilience to adverse market conditions.
• Oversee the preparation of risk reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.

• Lead and mentor a team of risk analysts and specialists.

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, or CFA are highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in risk management within the financial services sector.
• In-depth knowledge of various risk types (credit, market, operational, etc.) and risk modeling techniques.
• Strong understanding of South African financial regulations (e.g., Banks Act, FAIS Act, etc.) and international standards.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing risk management frameworks and policies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
