Credit Risk Analyst

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Credit Risk Analyst to join their financial services team in Paarl . In this role, you will assess the creditworthiness of potential borrowers, analyze financial statements, and contribute to the development of credit policies. You will play a vital role in minimizing the company's exposure to credit losses and ensuring sound lending practices within the Western Cape region.

• Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other data to assess borrower risk.
• Develop and maintain credit scoring models and risk assessment tools.

• Prepare reports on credit risk exposure and portfolio quality for management.
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and relevant regulatory guidelines.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• 2-4 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or a related financial role.
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and credit principles.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or similar.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
