LHH is partnering with a large, fast-growing AI infrastructure platform to identify a Director or VP of FP&A. This is a crucial leadership hire for a recognizable organization operating at the center of the AI build-out, and the numbers show it: the company is growing roughly 400% year over year and shows no signs of slowing down.
You will report directly to the CFO as his primary finance partner across a multi-entity organization. This is a seat where you build the function, shape how finance uses AI, and have a direct line to the decisions that drive the business. Title and level will be set based on experience.
Description- Own the full FP&A lifecycle: annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning
- Lead monthly management reporting, variance analysis, and KPI dashboards for executive and board audiences
- Build and maintain three-statement, cash flow, headcount, and unit economics models
- Partner with operations and business development leaders to connect operational drivers to financial outcomes
- Drive scenario and sensitivity analysis for M&A, investment, and resource allocation decisions
- Lead the modernization of FP&A through AI and automation, piloting and operationalizing tools that improve forecast accuracy and cut cycle times
- Build reusable prompts, agents, and models that let the broader FP&A team move faster and deliver sharper insight
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of FP&A analysts and managers
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA or CPA a plus.
- Proven leadership experience as a Director or VP within a mid-sized to large company
- Experience leading finance through a hypergrowth stage (200%+ YoY)
- Has personally owned budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning end to end and presented to executive leadership or a board
- Hands-on experience applying AI, machine learning, or advanced automation in a finance setting (agents, API integrations, LLM-built workflows, Python or SQL automation). Theoretical familiarity is not enough.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling, plus experience with a modern EPM tool (Adaptive, One Stream, Hyperion, Anaplan, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Python, SQL, and Power BI or Tableau
- Strong executive presence and comfort operating in ambiguity
- Base salary of $225,000 to $320,000 depending on level and experience
- 25% target bonus with a quarterly accelerator that can pay up to 4x target
- Long-term incentive potential at the VP level
- Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with match
- Fully remote. US-based candidates only. East Coast time zone preferred.
