Client Service Manager

Client Service Manager Summary…Small business owners want to offer their employees a great retirement plan, but few have time to master the rules. As a Client Service Manager at July Business Services (JULY), you’ll be the go-to contact for these employers and their advisors, helping them keep their plans compliant and running smoothly. You’ll work remotely alongside an experienced team and report to a Team Leader in Client Services.

The Gig…Serve as the primary point of contact for a book of approximately 150–175 retirement plan clients and their advisors (varies by plan size, complexity, and type)
Answer plan sponsor and advisor questions promptly on plan design, operations, compliance, and technology, then see each one through to resolution

Keep clients ahead of their annual compliance work, from nondiscrimination testing and Form 5500 filings to other key deadlines

Walk clients and advisors through 401(k) recordkeeping processes and JULY’s technology

Work with internal teams and outside partners to keep plans on track

Handle inbound and outbound client calls through a phone queue

Keep clear records of client projects and conversations

Build lasting client loyalty through consistent, proactive service

Stay current on industry trends and legislative and regulatory changes

Pitch in on other projects as the team needs

Our Needs…3+ years of retirement plan experience in compliance testing and/or a client-facing role Ability to explain technical results to plan sponsors in plain language

Comfort with difficult conversations, like delivering a failed test result, while keeping the relationship on solid groundA knack for earning the trust of clients and advisors over time Clear, concise writing and phone skills

Attention to detail and a habit of following up quickly

The organizational skills to keep many clients’ deadlines moving at once without someone checking inA team-first attitude and a readiness to help colleagues
