Commercial Finance Manager - FMCG

Our client, a prominent leader in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking an experienced and strategic Commercial Finance Manager to join their team. The Commercial Finance Manager will be responsible for providing critical financial insights, supporting business decision-making, and ensuring financial discipline across various functions.

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for the FMCG business unit.
• Provide strategic financial guidance and business partnering to key stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and operations teams.
• Analyze financial performance, identify key trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend appropriate actions.
• Develop and monitor financial models to support pricing, promotion, investment, and new product launch decisions.
• Oversee management accounting activities, ensuring accurate cost allocation and profitability analysis.
• Drive initiatives to improve financial processes, controls, and efficiency across the organization.
• Prepare monthly management reports, variance analyses, and insightful commentary for senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with the broader finance team to support strategic projects and corporate finance initiatives.
• Mentor and develop junior finance team members, fostering a high-performance culture.

• CA (SA) or equivalent professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or management accounting, preferably within the FMCG industry.
• Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Strong understanding of financial modelling and business case development.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills are essential.
• Strong business partnering and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work effectively and independently in a fully remote environment.
