Senior Compliance Analyst - Financial Services

Our client, a dynamic and expanding financial services provider, is looking for a Senior Compliance Analyst to join their dedicated team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the organization operates in full compliance with all relevant financial regulations and industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of compliance frameworks, risk management, and regulatory reporting. This position offers a flexible remote work arrangement, allowing the candidate to contribute effectively from anywhere within South Africa, while maintaining close collaboration with the team.

• Monitor and interpret regulatory changes affecting the financial services industry.
• Develop, implement, and update compliance policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and internal audits.
• Investigate potential compliance breaches and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports to relevant authorities.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance matters.
• Manage the Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) processes.
• Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations (e.g., POPIA).
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and documentation.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or risk management within the financial services sector.
• In-depth knowledge of South African financial regulations (e.g., FAIS Act, FICA, POPIA).
• Proven experience in conducting compliance risk assessments and audits.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote environment.
• Proficiency in compliance management software and MS Office Suite.
• High degree of integrity and attention to detail.
• Experience in building strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
