Our client is a title agency. They seek an Escrow Assistant to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities- Support escrow and settlement operations by following company policies and industry requirements
- Record settlement escrow activity and assist with accurate file maintenance
- Monitor incoming deposits and ensure timely placement of funds into escrow accounts
- Coordinate settlement disbursements using approved statements and verified payment instructions
- Maintain post-closing escrow accounts, disbursements, and related documentation
- Review escrow trial balances, identify outstanding items, and assist with resolution efforts
- Track title policies, workshare revenue, accounts receivable, and collection activity
- Prepare workshare invoices and supporting documentation
- Utilize escrow management software to maintain transaction records and support operations
- Assist underwriting, production, and accounting teams with settlement and post-closing activities
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1-3 years of experience in escrow, funding, and/or accounts payable
- Experience in title escrow accounting
- Working knowledge of title settlement and escrow funding procedures preferred
- Ability to learn and use relevant aspects of the Soft Pro system related to funding and post-closing activities
