Our client, a dynamic quantitative trading firm focused on digital assets, is seeking a highly skilled Cryptocurrency Trader and Analyst to join their team, with a focus on operations in Richards Bay, Kwa Zulu-Natal . This role demands a blend of sharp analytical abilities, a deep understanding of cryptocurrency markets, and the capacity to execute trades effectively under pressure. You will be responsible for market research, developing trading strategies, monitoring portfolio performance, and identifying lucrative investment opportunities within the volatile crypto space.

• Conduct in-depth market analysis, including technical and fundamental analysis of cryptocurrencies.
• Develop, backtest, and implement quantitative trading strategies for various digital assets.
• Execute trades across multiple cryptocurrency exchanges, managing risk effectively.
• Monitor market trends, news, and developments that could impact cryptocurrency prices.
• Analyze portfolio performance, identify areas for improvement, and optimize trading strategies.
• Manage and maintain trading infrastructure and tools.
• Collaborate with the quantitative research team to explore new trading ideas and models.
• Maintain accurate trading records and provide regular performance reports.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in trading, quantitative analysis, or investment management, with a significant focus on cryptocurrency markets.
• Proven experience in developing and executing trading strategies, preferably with algorithmic or quantitative approaches.
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology and the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python (pandas, Num Py, etc.).
• Excellent understanding of financial markets, risk management, and portfolio optimization techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and make quick, informed decisions.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to articulate complex market insights.
• Experience with trading APIs and exchange platforms is essential.
