Salary Range: $220,000 - $270,000 annually DOQ

The Town of Silverthorne is seeking a Town Manager for this modern mountain town of 5,571 residents, located about 70 miles west of Denver in the heart of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. Silverthorne is the most populous town in Summit County—a major tourist destination—and sits at the crossroads of I-70 and Highways 6 and 9, making it a natural gateway to Colorado’s high country.

The town has become an increasingly attractive location for residents, businesses, second homeowners, and remote workers.

The Town of Silverthorne serves a population of 5,571 across 4.1 square miles in Summit County, Colorado. The Town operates with a 2025 General Fund budget of $24 million, a total All-Funds budget of $83 million (including $29 million for the Recreation Center expansion), and a team of 120 full-time and 219 part-time and seasonal employees. Silverthorne is a home rule community consisting of a council-manager form of government.

The Town has a mission to serve its residents with high-level services while also inviting abundant tourism to thrive.

The Town Manager is responsible for the efficient management and operation of the Town Government in accordance with the Town Code, ordinances, directives, regulations, plans, and policies adopted by the Town Council. The ideal next Town Manager will be a critical thinker and exceptional communicator with strong interpersonal and management skills, who will consistently engage all members of the Town Council.
