Contracts Manager

G2 Software Systems, Inc. (G2SS) is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to support contract strategy, execution, and compliance across complex federal government programs. This role oversees the full lifecycle of prime contracts and subcontracts while working closely with program management, finance, and government stakeholders to ensure successful contract performance. The Contracts Manager reports to the General Manager and plays a critical role in enabling mission delivery through sound acquisition planning, disciplined execution, and proactive risk management.

As the Contracts Manager, you will support both contract strategy and day-to-day execution, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS requirements while helping programs achieve cost, schedule, and performance objectives. This role goes beyond contract administration and requires strong judgment, collaboration, and an understanding of how contracts, funding, and program execution intersect.

• Manage the full lifecycle of federal prime contracts and subcontracts.
• Support acquisition and contract strategy development.
• Draft, review, and administer contracts, task orders, modifications, NDAs, and teaming agreements.
• Track contract funding, ceilings, deliverables, and performance periods.
• Support proposal development including cost volumes and compliance inputs.
• Serve as liaison with Government Contracting Officers and CORs.
• Monitor budgets, obligations, and expenditures.
• Ensure FAR/DFARS compliance.
• Support audits and contract closeout.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Prepare and submit invoices.
• Serve as a liaison with G2’s prime contractors and subcontractors.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Contracts, or related field.
• 8+ years of federal contracts, acquisition, or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS.
• Experience supporting DoD or federal programs
• ERP experience (Costpoint, Navy ERP, SAP, or similar).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience managing multiple contracts and budgets.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels inside and outside the company.
• Ability to operate independently while collaborating closely with senior leadership.
• This position requires an individual to be a US citizen and either have, or be able to obtain, and retain a DoD clearance.

• Foreign Military Sales (FMS) or international program experience.
• NCMA, DAWIA, PMP, or equivalent certification.
• Experience supporting audits and compliance reviews.
• Experience administering both prime and subcontracts.
• Experience building and managing program budgets.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to navigate each department at the assigned facility (G2 front office).

This is a full-time position based in San Diego, CA. The role is hybrid, with an initial in-office training period followed by up to 50% remote work, subject to business needs and management approval.

The compensation range for this position in California is $160,000/year to $185,000/year, depending on your expertise, and market location conditions.
