Position: Housing Compliance Officer
North London | £36,000 per annum
Hybrid working – office based with 1 day per week from home
Car required

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a resident-focused social housing provider based in North London who are looking to appoint a Compliance Officer to join their Property team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a social housing background and a strong understanding of property compliance, who enjoys working in a structured, detail-driven role while supporting a vital housing service.

The Role

The Compliance Officer will play a key role in supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of compliance across the organisation’s housing stock. You’ll help ensure the organisation meets its legal, regulatory and governance obligations while maintaining accurate records and supporting audits and inspections.

The role is predominantly office based, with one day per week working from home, and will require site visits, so access to a car is essential.

Key Responsibilities

* Supporting the development, review and implementation of compliance policies and procedures

* Monitoring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and escalating issues where necessary

* Maintaining accurate compliance records, certificates, registers and logs

* Assisting with internal audits, inspections and regulatory reporting

* Acting as a point of contact for compliance-related queries across the organisation

* Supporting compliance training and awareness initiatives

* Identifying and reporting compliance risks and supporting corrective action plans

* Issuing works orders and attending meetings as required

About You

Essential experience:

* Previous experience in a compliance, regulatory or policy-focused role

* Strong understanding of compliance within a regulated environment (social housing experience highly desirable)
