This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality housing services in an office-based capacity while working closely with residents, colleagues and partner agencies to support thriving communities.

As a Housing Officer, you’ll manage a defined patch, delivering tenancy, leasehold and neighbourhood management services primarily through office-based and remote contact. While this role does not include routine tenancy visits, you will carry out the full range of housing management duties, ensuring residents receive responsive, effective and compliant landlord services.

You will manage your own diary, balancing office and home working, while building strong working relationships with residents and stakeholders to resolve issues and drive positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities of a Housing Officer:
Deliver full tenancy, leasehold and neighbourhood management services across your locality in an office-based capacity.
Act as a key point of contact for residents, resolving tenancy queries, managing cases and promoting positive outcomes.
Manage rent arrears cases, ASB reports, tenancy changes, breaches of tenancy and enforcement actions in line with policy and legislation.
Liaise with local authorities, community groups and partner agencies to support neighbourhood and tenancy solutions.
Use housing management systems and data insights to monitor performance, compliance and service delivery.
Maintain accurate and secure records, ensuring data protection and regulatory standards are met.
Promote collaboration, inclusion and high service standards within the team and wider community.

About You
Experience delivering tenancy, leasehold or neighbourhood management services.
Strong understanding of landlord responsibilities and housing legislation.
Excellent communication and case management skills, able to resolve complex issues confidently.
Comfortable working in a hybrid, primarily office-based environment.
Customer-focused with the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
Confident using digital systems and housing management software.

Desirable
Professional membership (e.g. CIH) or willingness to work towards qualification.
Experience handling housing data securely and accurately.

Benefits of this Housing Officer role include:
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising annually to 30 days
Option to buy or sell leave as part of a flexible benefits package
3 paid wellbeing days and 2 paid volunteering days
Generous matched pension scheme up to 12% and life cover at 4x salary
