Make a difference through advocacy as a Political Affairs Intern with The Borgen Project. This unpaid, remote position allows you to help prioritize poverty in U.S., Canadian, and U.K. foreign policy decisions.

As a Political Affairs Intern, you will participate in a 12-week program with 12 hours of weekly commitment focusing on outreach, fundraising, and engagement with political leaders. You can start in any month and can complete the program faster if your schedule requires it, making this opportunity flexible and accessible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct outreach efforts to local government officials

• Engage with members of Congress and representatives

• Represent The Borgen Project at events

• Develop a personal fundraising strategy and meet goals

• Encourage public support for poverty-related legislation

Requirements:

• Strong commitment to fighting against poverty

• No prior experience needed; we value motivation

• Must be available for part-time remote work for 12 weeks

• Open to writing letters of support for various initiatives

• Option for college credit available
