We are looking for someone to #Join Us as a Crime Integrity Team Assistant in our Crime Integrity Team. Could you be who we are looking for?

The role is a part-time role based within the Public Service Centre, South Wales Police Headquarters, Bridgend. However, the role is flexible and can include working from home

The role of a Crime integrity Team Assistant is an interesting and rewarding role ensuring that South Wales Police achieve the comprehensive, consistent and accurate recording, and finalisation of crime and incidents, in line with the National Crime Recording Standard (NCRS), the National Standard or Incident Recording (NSIR) and the Home Office Counting Rules for both standards (HOCR’s).

You will be required to review criminal investigations and make decisions in relation to recording of crimes, and application of outcomes prior to finalisation.

We are keen to hear from you if you have good knowledge of criminal legislation and the application of Home Office Counting Rules (HOCR), the National Crime Recording Standards (NCRS) and National Standard of Incident Recording (NSIR).

Although a full and comprehensive training package will be provided, including systems and processes, the skills and experience required are outlined in the Role Profile and will need to be evidenced in your application. Skills include:

• Experience and comprehensive knowledge of the Home Office Counting Rules
• Ability to plan and prioritise daily workloads, and work under pressure
• Effective decision-making skills, able to review requests based on knowledge and evidence.

The successful candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to RV level.
