Internal applicants:
Applications are invited from CoLP constables who are qualified for promotion to the rank of Sergeant and hold a valid OSPRE Part 1 and 2 Pass, OSPRE Part 1 Pass or NPPF Pass.

External applicants:
Applicants must already be serving as a substantive Sergeant within their current force.

Project Servator is a nationally recognised policing tactic designed to disrupt a wide range of criminal activity, including terrorism, while providing a visible and reassuring presence to the public. Used by police forces across the UK and internationally, including the New South Wales Police Force in Australia, the tactic is built on strong partnerships with businesses, communities and the public to encourage vigilance and the reporting of suspicious activity.

Project Servator has played a significant role in generating intelligence that has supported Counter Terrorism investigations across the UK, helping to prevent acts of terrorism and disrupt serious criminality. The tactic has led to arrests for a broad range of offences and contributed to the recovery of firearms, knives and drugs, helping to keep our communities safe.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in safeguarding the Square Mile and the wider UK. As a Project Servator Sergeant, you will benefit from the flexibility to work proactively and lead a highly skilled and motivated team, operating across the City of London and alongside partner forces nationally.

You do not need to hold a current Project Servator qualification to apply. However, you should have a strong operational interest in the tactic, an understanding of its purpose and a genuine enthusiasm for proactive policing.

Experience of Project Servator deployments would be advantageous but is not essential.

Comprehensive training will be provided upon appointment, together with ongoing opportunities to develop your operational skills, knowledge and experience within this specialist field.

• DEO (Disruptive Effects Officer) trained, or previously trained.
• DEOP (Disruptive Effects Operational Commander).
• Previous experience of Project Servator.
• Experience in partnership working.
• Response Driver.
