Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a compassionate and skilled Online Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to provide professional counseling services to individuals, couples, and families in a virtual setting. This role focuses on helping clients navigate relationship challenges, emotional difficulties, and family dynamics to promote healthier communication, understanding, and personal growth. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in mental health and therapy to create a safe and supportive environment for clients online.

• Conduct confidential online therapy sessions with individuals, couples, and families.

• Assess clients mental health needs, relationship issues, and family dynamics.

• Develop personalized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support clients emotional and relational well-being.

• Track and document client progress in compliance with privacy and ethical standards.

• Provide crisis intervention and referrals when necessary.

• Maintain professional licensure and adhere to all legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and professionals when appropriate.

• Valid LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) certification/license.

• Strong understanding of family systems, relationship dynamics, and mental health principles.

• Excellent communication and active listening skills.

• Ability to build trust and rapport with clients virtually.

• Proficient in teletherapy platforms and online communication tools.

• Knowledge of ethical and legal guidelines for online therapy.

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in marriage and family therapy or related mental health counseling.

• Experience conducting online or teletherapy sessions is highly preferred.

• Prior work with diverse client populations, including couples and families, is an advantage.
