Overview
Behavior Technician/RBT Per Diem at UCP of Western Massachusetts. Per Diem, 6-10 hours per week with potential to grow to full time.
Location:
Pittsfield, MA 01201.
This range is provided by UCP of Western Massachusetts. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Base pay range: $22.00/hr - $26.00/hr
Responsibilities- Provide applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy and individualized supports to children ages 0-3 with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and challenging behaviors in homes or community settings.
- Increase language, self-help, play, social skills, and ADL skills; decrease challenging behaviors.
- Work under the supervision of a BCBA and collaborate with other EI specialists and families to support goals and strategies in the child’s behavioral treatment plans.
- Maintain a regular schedule and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.
- Ability to be provisionally certified by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) as a paraprofessional or Behavior Technician, which requires a bachelor’s degree in any major, or an associate’s degree or 60+ credit hours in related or unrelated field with related experience; OR hold a current RBT/BCAT/ABAT/Senior Behavior Therapist certification.
- Experience working with children and/or adolescents in ABA, early childhood, or special education; home-based experience preferred.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of community-based health systems and resources.
- CPR and First Aid certification (infant and pediatric).
- Experience with electronic documentation or ability to learn; schedule flexibility to meet family needs.
- Strong time management, attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities; effective communication tailored to the audience.
- Positive representation of UCP; willingness to perform in-person, face-to-face service as required.
- Valid driver’s license, private vehicle, up-to-date car insurance; ability to travel as needed.
- Proof of immunizations (MMR) and a negative Mantoux TB test or clear chest x-ray; background checks (CORI, SORI, DPPC, and National Fingerprint Check) as required.
