Overview
Marana Health is seeking a Therapist – Independently Licensed to join our Behavioral Health team at the Marana Health Integrated Care Health Center, located in Tucson, AZ. The Therapist will provide direct client services including individual, group, and/or family therapy. The Therapist may also provide school and/or home-based services including crisis intervention. Client assessment, treatment and aftercare planning are included in all clinical positions.
All Behavioral Health staff will participate with the BH team, attending team meetings, client staffings, case reviews, staff development and policy and procedure development. Therapists will use independent judgment in carrying out daily job responsibilities. If licensed, the Therapist may supervise interns/externs or non-licensed BH staff. Marana Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with 11 sites in Tucson and Pima County, and is committed to caring for special populations and improving health outcomes for our patients.
- Conduct intakes with new clients and complete all required paperwork in a timely and thorough manner.
- Provide direct client services including individual, group, and/or family therapy, ensuring contact and documentation meet guidelines.
- Deliver office, school, and home-based services as necessary or requested, and respond to crises as needed.
- Attend Adult Recovery Team (ART) meetings and participate in case reviews, staff development, and policy/procedure development as part of the BH team.
- Complete Progress Notes on all client contacts and Monthly Progress Reports for appropriate clients, distributing reports to the appropriate persons/agencies.
- Collaborate with clients and families to develop recovery-focused service planning, reviews, discharge planning, and aftercare planning.
- Provide referrals to other community resources as needed or requested.
- Maintain an appropriate number of direct service hours and keep Intake Team informed of availability.
- Supervise non-licensed Behavioral Health staff, interns, or externs as appropriate and document supervision provided.
- Serve as a liaison between Marana Health BH Services and other behavioral health agency staff, school district staff, RBHA/ACC staff, and court personnel.
- Participate in departmental meetings, client staffings, case reviews, staff development, and policy/procedure development.
- Ensure familiarity with department contracts and seek clarification when needed; comply with applicable state and federal laws.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and family information and adhere to APA guidelines and Marana Health policies for clinical/ethical practices.
- Report incidents using appropriate procedures and ensure UM/MM office is involved as required; interact with community members and agency personnel to promote trust and collaboration.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and use effective channels for problem-solving and communication.
- Master’s degree in Social Services or related field
- Licensed as an independent practitioner with AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LISAC) or as a Psychologist by the AZ Board of Psychologist Examiners (unless hired as Provisional Therapist)
- Experience in Behavioral Health with at-risk youth or adults
- Experience conducting individual, group, or family therapy or focused groups
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- First Aid certification (may be completed with Marana Health upon hire)
- Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Current Arizona driver’s license with clean driving record and proof of current vehicle insurance (39-month MVR checked by Marana Health)
- Experience with the State RBHA system, AHCCCS Complete Care (ACC) health plans, and community resources
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered if directly related to the job functions
- May occasionally provide direction, training, or guidance to others
- Knowledge of State, RBHA, and ACC requirements
