Job Summary
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young adults?
The Minnesota Autism Center (MAC), a non-profit organization, is currently seeking qualified Behavioral Therapist/Mental Health Practitioners to provide direct 1:1 therapy and group therapy to children and adults affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
Position also known as:
Behavioral Technician, Behavioral Therapist, Behavior Therapist, ABA Therapist, Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct 1:1 therapy and group therapy to clients with ASD
- Deliver therapy in accordance with individualized treatment plans
- Support clients in various settings as assigned (center-based or home-based when applicable)
- Collaborate with supervising clinicians and team members to monitor progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
- Uphold safety and professional conduct in all interactions
Work Schedule and Compensation
- Full-time opportunities available: 8:15 am to 4:45 pm, Monday through Friday. No nights or weekends required.
- Part-time opportunities available:
Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–12:30 PM or 12:30 PM–4:45 PM - Compensation ranges from $19 to $22 per hour, determined by experience, center location, and EIDBI level.

Minimum Requirements
- Desire and passion for providing mental health services
- Ability to work in group or 1:1 settings with clients
- Professionalism with clients and families
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a DHS Background check
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum age: 18
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with ASD and ABA Therapy
- Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral sciences or related field with at least 2,000 hours of supervised mental health service experience
- Holds at least 4,000 hours of supervised mental health service experience
- Graduate student in a mental health discipline with formal clinical training assignment
- Master’s or graduate degree in a mental health discipline from an accredited program
Physical Requirements
- Frequent kneeling, bending, and stooping
- Ability to respond quickly and move rapidly as needed
- Engaged for extended periods; fast-paced environment
- Ability to implement safety-related holds when necessary
- Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Founded in 1996, MAC provides center-based and in-home therapeutic services for children and adolescents with ASD, serving approximately 370-400 clients across multiple Minnesota centers.
