- Help conduct billing and collection of medical services
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve issues that delay account resolution
- Audit accounts to ensure that appropriate payments are received from responsible parties
- Audit previously worked accounts to identify revenue leakage
- Serve as a liaison for Salud clients through communications with client departments, third‑party carriers, and the general public following Salud standards of service, mission, and vision
- Driven to learn proactively
- Contributes to a team while working independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with a focus on detail
- Ability to learn computer programs and websites quickly
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- Willingness to work in a cubicle office environment with little face‑to‑face public interaction
- Knowledge of insurances, Medicaid, and Medicare in a hospital or physician office setting
- CPT/ICD‑10 coding knowledge is a plus
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentThis role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets and is performed in a professional cubicle office environment or a secure home office setting.
