Omnia Healthcare is seeking a Business Office Specialist to join our growing team. This individual works at the corporate office for a large group of skilled nursing facilities and is responsible for conducting monthly audits with each facility to ensure business office functions and tasks are completed timely, including training with those responsible in each facility.
Business Office Specialist Duties and Responsibilities- Ensures business office monthly reports are submitted to the corporate office within time frames and reviews are completed.
- Partners and collaborates with business office on the resolution of discrepancy with the LTC eligibility start date and income changes.
- Reviews and assists in timely completion of facility Medicaid processes including completion of Medicaid Application, Redetermination, Appeals and needed follow-ups with State agencies, resident/responsible party.
- Reviews completion of Medi updates on admit packets, discharges, and income changes.
- Reviews and assists in the completion of monthly Resident Trust Account reconciliation for each facility, closing of accounts for permanent discharges, and review of other trust fund compliance guidelines.
- Conducts business office field work and training as scheduled for each facility.
- Analytical, critical thinking skills, effective communication skills with all levels in the organization and excellent written skills in English.
- Computer literate, use of Excel, Word, Outlook, and Point Click Care
Education and Experience
- Five or more years of experience working with skilled nursing facility Medicaid pending process.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Point Click Care or other EHR experience preferred.
- Ability to travel to various facilities.
