OverviewSentara Health is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Manager of Quality Improvement. The position is full-time, day shift, located in Portsmouth, VA with a hybrid work arrangement at Sentara PACE Norfolk and Portsmouth.
The Manager will ensure delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centered care through evidence‑based practices, virtual care technologies, and quality improvement. Responsibilities include performing regular quality audits and inspections, collaborating with operational teams to identify and resolve quality issues, analyzing data to identify trends and root causes, proposing and implementing corrective plans, providing training and guidance on quality assurance practices and tools, and driving development and execution of strategies to mitigate potential quality‑related issues.
For managers with a virtual care scope, additional duties involve leading and advancing quality initiatives in telehealth services and overseeing development, implementation, and evaluation of telehealth programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or related field. (Required)
- Active RN license in the state of practice (Required for all Registered Nurses).
- BLS certification required within 90 days.
- 3 years of quality improvement experience (Required).
- 1 year of leadership experience (Required).
