The hospitalist advanced practice nurse or clinical nurse specialist must possess knowledge of professional medical practice and care to administer and evaluate patient care; knowledge of organizational policies, regulations and procedures to administer care; knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care; knowledge of common safety hazard and precautions to establish a safe work environment; skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of medicine to provide on‑going patient care, skill in maintaining medical records, skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, families, patient care staff, supervising physicians, medical community, and referring providers.

This position is required to utilize independent judgment. May include remote work duties.

• Masters degree in nursing required. Licensed by Arkansas State Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Clinical Nurse Specialist. Certification by national certifying body with prescriptive privileges. ACLS certification required.

• Three to five years experience in hospital medicine preferred.

• This is a safety sensitive position. Exposure to biological hazards, frequent unpleasant odors, close eye work, and hearing of normal and soft tones. Must distinguish smells, temperatures by touch and proximity, and may be exposed to airborne and infectious materials. Required to stand, walk, sit, push and pull, use fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Reach with hands and arms.
  
  Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
