What Project Management Does At WorldwideWorldwide Clinical Trials project management blends operational rigor with therapeutic expertise, guided by a client-focused approach. Global Project Leads (GPLs) and Clinical Project Managers (CPMs) lead project teams to deliver high quality results, with an emphasis on doing it right the first time. The Project Management team is involved in all trial aspects, collaborating with scientific and therapeutic leadership, coordinating across project teams, and providing flexible, proactive solutions.
You will work in a specific therapeutic area to develop in-depth global operational expertise and benefit from our strong scientific and medical background.
- Work effectively across multiple divisions to direct the delivery of projects/programs within cost, time, and quality requirements
- Provide direct supervision, support, training, and mentoring to project managers
- Collaborate with Business Development on proposals and bid defense
- May have immediate supervision of employees, prepare and conduct performance appraisals and salary reviews, and apply company policies
- Work with leadership in all functional areas on continuous development/improvement of business processes to support cross-functional teams and ensure work is uniform, complete, and managed appropriately
- Serve as a liaison with Business Development and Bids/Contracts for client presentations and proposal development
- Assist in resource utilization, policy development, and implementation of goals
The Role
- Strong leadership skills

- Expert knowledge of project management principles and application
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and resource management
- Skilled in process improvement, especially as it applies to clinical trials, clinical development, and project management
- University/college degree (life science preferred) or certification in a related allied health profession from an accredited institution (e.g., nursing certification, medical or laboratory technology) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years of clinical pharmaceutical industry experience including demonstrated skills and competency in clinical project management tasks
- In lieu of the above requirements, candidates with > five (5) years supervisory experience in a health care setting and eight (8) years clinical research experience in the pharmaceutical or CRO industries will be considered
- Experience managing Gastrointestinal and/or Nephrology studies is required for this role
