Sentara Healthcare is currently hiring for a Patient Services Coordinator position at Sentara Belle Harbor Sleep Disorder Ambulatory in Suffolk, VA.

Position Overview:
We are a 4‑bed AASM accredited facility located at Sentara Independence. Join us in providing excellent patient care and great outcomes!
Patient Services Coordinator coordinates activities for specific physician practices, including insurance verification/obtaining precertification, scheduling, pre‑registration, and order transmission (faxing). Purpose is to ensure maximum reimbursement and reduce denials related to incomplete insurance information and/or authorization. Maintains statistics and acts as liaison between clinical testing sites and physicians’ offices.
Requirements: Previous Healthcare Experience, High School or Equivalent.
Skill Levels Required (choose any two of four):
- Two years of experience in a healthcare environment
- Completion of a healthcare‑related certificate program
- Associate’s Degree or higher
- Transferable skills (e.g., 1 year or more in a call center, customer service, etc.)
Sentara Care Plex Hospital is a 224‑bed, acute care hospital, and Certified Primary Stroke Center located in Hampton, VA. Sentara Care Plex Hospital provides care through advanced surgical programs, emergency cardiac intervention, fellowship‑trained physicians, and the newly‑opened Family Maternity Center. It is also home to the Orthopedic Hospital at Sentara Care Plex Hospital, the area's first dedicated orthopedic hospital, taking specialized orthopedic care to a new level.
