• Schedule and authorize coverage for planned services
• Communicate with physicians and clinical staff as necessary
• Pre-register patients for services, verifying coverage and obtaining authorizations
• Assist patients in completing charitable applications at medical centers

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare financial environment
• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proficiency in PC skills within a Windows environment, including Word and Excel

• Experience in insurer or public health settings
• Ability to manage multiple projects and follow through independently
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on quality and accuracy
• Familiarity with desktop applications beyond Word and Excel
• Background in environments that promote staff development and productivity
