Apricus Resourcing are currently looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and adaptable Full or Part Time Community Hybrid Work Frome Home Safeguarding or Learning Disabilities Team Registered Social Worker Band 5-6 for a Well-Respected Specialist Non-Public Social Service to work in N22 post code area of Haringey North London for a number of new exciting positions in the area. Any mileage / travel expenses incurred whilst on shift from travelling away from usual workplace will be compensated and we are recruiting for the following:

Safeguarding Social Worker:
Supporting clients out of base at N22 Post Code Area of Haringey minimum of 2 days a week the rest can be worked from home , the role is ideally working full time with standard hours 37 hours weekly Monday-Friday (9am-5pm), part time option may be considered please advise requirements if so, this is a fixed term contract minimum 3 months going up to maximum 12 months long.

Any mileage / travel expenses incurred whilst on shift will be compensated.

You will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and older people.

Our Social Work Team makes up part of a wider multi-disciplinary assessment service including Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants and Surveyors, we work alongside colleagues from local health trusts to ensure the holistic needs of our service users are met.

You will bring the principles of professionalism, ambition, accountability, dignity, respect, empathy, and a strength based, collaborative approach to service delivery.

You will be expected to have an excellent understanding of the legislation relevant to the role, specifically the:

• Care Act
• Mental Health Act
• Mental Capacity Act
• The Human Rights Act
• The Equality Act And be able to work in accordance with the legislative principles and any other relevant guidance or case law.

You will obtain and record all relevant information, taking appropriate action where necessary; as well as providing practical day-to-day support; which may take the form of home visits and direct work within the family home or community.

Additionally, you will work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to assess needs, develop care plans, and provide ongoing support. You’ll have extensive experience in working with vulnerable children, young people and their families in a support/advisory role and be knowledgeable in safeguarding and Children’s services processes and legislation.

In return for your commitment, if paid via our agency we are able to offer a very competitive rate of pay of £30.52 per hour.

Learning Disabilities Social Worker:

Main duties:

* To take responsibility for a suitable caseload and develop experience and competency across the following duties with opportunity to progress from one grade to the next when/if progression requirements are met.

* Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, families, carers and communities to help them make informed decisions, enabling them to clarify and express their needs and contribute to service planning that is person centred and strengths based.

* Work effectively within legal, policy and financial frameworks, obligations, structures and culture, in particular, the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act, Human Rights and Equalities legislation and accompanying guidance and codes of practice.

* Construct and implement care packages which are clearly linked to the needs of clients; working creatively with community and voluntary organisations to maximise independence, to minimise risks and improve outcomes and the quality of life for service users and their careers.
