Adolescent Behavioral Health Therapist (MST) (Open Rank, Entry – Senior Level)
Join a community‑based substance use treatment program at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. This role delivers evidence‑based Multisystemic Therapy (MST) to families of adolescent substance users, focusing on retention in homes and prevention of out‑of‑home placement.
Job SummaryThe MST therapist collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide intensive treatment, clinical supervision, and family‑centered interventions. The therapist works independently but receives weekly group supervision and individual supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Provide intensive treatment services using MST principles to a caseload of up to 6 active clients, including daily contact via individual and family counseling, case management, and advocacy.
- Conduct home‑based family therapy twice weekly utilizing the MST treatment model; participate in school meetings, staffing, and court activities as required.
- Be available Monday through Friday, 24 hours a day via cell phone and participate in a weekend on‑call coverage rotation.
- Provide transition services to clients upon discharge from other formal residential or day treatment programs.
- Balance caseload, clinical contact, and case management paperwork to achieve treatment outcomes.
- Administer weekly urinalysis screens for same‑sex clients to track treatment progress and challenges.
Hybrid – the majority of time is in the community/field. Remote work from home and occasional office work at Fort Logan (3680 West Princeton Circle, Denver, CO 80236).

Minimum Qualifications Entry Level- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or related field.
- Registration with the Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice in Colorado.
- Eligibility to be credentialed as LAC, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT with the State of Colorado within two (2) years of hire.
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or related field.
- Registration with the Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice in Colorado.
- Eligibility to be credentialed as LAC, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT with the State of Colorado within one (1) year of hire.
- One (1) year of professional/post graduate level experience working in the field of counseling, social work, or substance use.
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or related field.
- Registration with the Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice in Colorado.
- Eligible to be credentialed as LAC, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT with the State of Colorado.
- Two (2) years of professional/post graduate level experience working in the field of counseling, social work, or substance use.
