Locum

£38 an Hour

3 Month Initial Contract

Working alongside Social Worker colleagues, you will hold a caseload of children who experience varying degrees of physical and/or learning disabilities and autism.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment Duties:

Advising on appropriate choice of special equipment, adaption and housing needs.
Representing the service at Multi-disciplinary meetings.
Preparing plans and advise on the needs of disabled people with a view to adapt their home to maintain Independence.
Providing ongoing training in manual handling and use of equipment.
Maintaining and developing professional knowledge, ensuring appropriate training for self and assisting staff.
Maintaining awareness of corporate and departmental policies and procedures and ensuring these are adhered to.
Providing information to Children's Services colleagues and other professionals/teams.
