Field Applications Specialist – Life Sciences Responsibilities

• Provide in‑field technical application support for our automated histopathology products, including next‑generation tools, to achieve Leica regional sales and profitability goals within the assigned territory.
• Assist in training and mentoring newly hired Application Specialists and those requiring additional development.
• Demonstrate superior knowledge and troubleshoot complex product/reagent applications in both clinical and research customer settings.
• Collaborate with Sales personnel and Field Service Engineers to drive customer relationships within the assigned geography and take an active leadership role in regional projects.

Core Qualifications

• Education:
  
  BA/BS in Life Sciences or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of the histology marketplace or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years’ histology laboratory experience in clinical, research, or industrial settings (with a practical focus on IHC/Research where relevant).
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience optimizing, operating, and supporting automated IHC instrumentation and related products.

Preferred Experience

• Leadership, mentorship, and exemplary work ethic consistent with Danaher Core Values across functional teams.
• Advanced product knowledge in automated histopathology solutions.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

Travel and Motor Vehicle Record Requirements

• 75% travel, including overnight within the region.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Remote Work Arrangement

Leica Biosystems offers flexible remote working arrangements for eligible roles. This position is eligible for a remote work arrangement: you can work remotely from your home. Additional information about this remote work arrangement will be provided by your interview team.

Salary and Benefits

The annual salary range for this role is $105,000 – $115,000. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
