Senior National Training Manager Precision Oncology & Pathology
Join Quest Diagnostics as the Senior National Training Manager for Precision Oncology & Pathology. Lead the creation, revision, and deployment of training content that keeps the commercial team clinically current, supports new product launches, and addresses competitive market conditions.
Remote position with 25%–30% national travel.
Responsibilities- Partner with the Commercial Learning Center, Commercial Operations, and Oncology Franchise leadership to develop and implement the overall oncology training strategy.
- Drive and support national programs and input local program needs.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of national, regional, and local training in blended learning formats (live and digital).
- Serve as a primary resource to commercial management for oncology sales training needs.
- Conduct formal training sessions, both in person and virtually, that meet organizational needs.
- Collaborate with Commercial Learning Center leadership to develop/analyze training and identify processes, programs, and techniques for maximizing performance.
- Continually evaluate oncology training activities to identify improvement areas and drive effectiveness.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of oncology, Quest, healthcare innovations, and industry trends.
- Conduct field training with new and existing oncology sales representatives.
- Ensure integration of strategic priorities, materials, and messaging into all training.
- Establish a consistent process to assess impact, evaluate, and uncover training needs of stakeholders through collaboration with cross‑functional leadership.
- Ensure timely communication to field and leadership regarding sales training initiatives.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant training approaches, curriculum, content, and delivery options.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Commercial Learning Center Executive Director or VP Oncology.
- Bachelor’s degree in science or business required;
Master’s degree and/or certifications in instructional design or training & development a plus. - Background in medical or biological sciences required; clinical experience in oncology or an oncology‑adjacent field a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of oncology field experience; preferred experience as a sales professional or in training sales teams within healthcare.
- At least 3 years of virtual and in‑person training and development experience.
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to deliver high‑quality programs under resource constraints.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong podium and facilitation abilities.
- Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time for training sessions and field engagements.
- Proactive, creative, and entrepreneurial approach with strong organization and operations skills.
- Experience designing and creating eLearning modules for oncology knowledge areas.
- Ability to source external content and resources to accelerate content creation.
