We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Therapist to join our team. This vital role focuses on supporting the emotional and psychological well‑being of children and adolescents, helping them navigate academic pressures, social dynamics, and personal challenges. The therapist will play a key part in fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where children and adolescents can thrive emotionally and academically.
Responsibilities- Provide therapeutic services to children and adolescents in both in‑person and remote settings, both individually and in groups
- Develop and implement personalized intervention plans
- Conduct assessments to identify emotional and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with caregivers, educators, and other professionals as needed
- Develop and implement personalized intervention plans using evidence‑based practices such as MATCH‑ADTC, SBIRT, The Student Checkup, Botvin, and CBT
- Conduct assessments and monitor progress using validated tools including PSC‑17, PSC‑35, GAD‑7, and PHQ‑9.
- Offer workshops and training sessions for clients and patients on mental health issues
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient sessions and progress
- Advocate for patients’ mental health needs within the community
- Develop and implement preventive programs and activities to promote mental health awareness
- Master’s degree in counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Licensed or certified as a school therapist in the state of employment
- Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of child development and evidence‑based therapeutic interventions
- Proficiency in crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques
- Bilingual abilities are an asset (Spanish)
- Familiarity with special education laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using counseling and educational assessment tools
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a school or clinical setting
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement effective intervention plans
- Knowledge of ethical guidelines and confidentiality laws pertaining to student mental health
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning
- Ability to use technology effectively for record‑keeping and communication
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support students’ well‑being.
