About the Role

This part‑time permanent position (29 hours per week) includes:

  • Monday and Tuesday day shifts – either 8:30 – 17:30 or 10:00 – 19:00, depending on candidate.
  • Thursday and Friday twilight shifts – 16:00 – 23:00.
About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a minimum of two years’ experience within a multi‑disciplinary referral practice.
  • Has an excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Is passionate about animal care and welfare.
  • Has experience working in a Veterinary Referral Hospital, or is willing to learn new clinical skills.
  • Has a right to work in the UK.
Your Role and Responsibilities

The diagnostic nurse’s role is critical to providing high patient and client care standards. You will form part of the Nursing Service, working closely alongside the diagnostic supervisor, radiologists, and radiographers two days a week. In this role, you will also work closely with other personnel within the nursing team to ensure the smooth running of the diagnostic department and maintain high standards of patient care.

The twilight position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of wards, exemplary client care, and high‑quality in‑patient care throughout the evening at our hospital.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting nurse discharges and ensuring clients receive vital information for continuation of care at home.
  • Performing nurse admissions, settling patients into the hospital and preparing them for their procedures.
  • Providing ongoing care to inpatients alongside RVNs, Patient Care Assistants, and interns across multiple disciplines.
