Clinical Team Lead at Antistatique
Are you an established Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Nurse or Practitioner looking to work in the community? The Intensive Community Support Dementia team would like to hear from you. The role covers North and West Dorset, driving is essential and pool cars are available.
Scope of Work- Support patients in a specialist service when behaviour becomes more challenging, providing high quality interventions in care/residential homes or in private homes.
- Work with Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs), social care and other agencies to benefit patients and support carers while under our care and signpost for ongoing support.
- Exercise clinical decision‑making confidence, undertake shift management and ensure the smooth running of the team, using resources effectively.
- Participate in services change implementation as guided by the National Dementia Strategy and embrace the Recovery Agenda for organic services.
- Coordinate shifts with other Clinical Team Leaders, triage referrals and manage a small group of patients.
This is a full‑time post, but part‑time applicants with a minimum of 30 hours are welcome. ICSD is a 7‑day a week service: 07:30‑20:00. Rota basis includes 07:30‑15:30 / 12:00‑20:00 covering weekends at enhanced pay. There is scope to discuss working days rid working, including remote work and base working at Forston Clinic, Dorchester, is promoted.
Requirements & Competencies- Registered Mental Health Nurse or Occupational Therapist preferred.
- Understanding of MHA, MCA and safeguarding legislation is essential.
- Ability to undertake assessments, nurse reviews, and manage a small group of patients.
- Successful completion of the Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course; completion is a condition of employment.
- Must be able to process information accurately and quickly as part of the virtual ward environment.
