Outpatient Complex Audit Specialist​/Remote

• Conduct audits of medical record documentation for outpatient encounters, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines
• Utilize expertise in coding systems such as ICD-10CM, CPT, and HCC to abstract information from electronic health records
• Compile and maintain an OP CDI Education database to support documentation and coding education programs
• Assist in data-driven projects related to revenue cycle management and performance scorecards
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to identify trends and support root cause analysis

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
• Minimum of two (2) years of coding experience required
• Additional specialty coding certification or 5-7 years coding experience required
• Prior experience in a healthcare revenue cycle position required
• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding systems

• One to two (1-2) years of college or additional coursework in Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration, or Medical Record Sciences preferred
• Specialty coding experience preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to recognize patterns and trends in data
