Requirements- MUST HAVE A VALID NEW JERSEY HOME HEALTH AIDE LICENSE.
- At least 1 year experience as a Caregiver/Certified Home Health Aide in healthcare (in homes or facilities).
- Fully COVID‑vaccinated & booster.
- 2‑step PPD.
- Physical exam within the last 12 months.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Valid driver’s license and insured automobile.
Certified Home Health Aides must be detail‑oriented, follow protocols carefully, and adhere to instructions from doctors and nurses. They should be trustworthy, dependable, and able to communicate changes in the patient’s health.
Responsibilities- Take vital signs and give medication under nurse's direction, recording and reporting data as medically necessary.
- Assist patients with daily functions such as dressing, bathing, and meal preparation.
- Help plan doctor’s appointments, meetings, and organize transportation.
- Provide facility work, ranging from hourly to live‑in shifts.
- Perform light housekeeping: dusting, mopping, laundry.
- Prepare and cook meals, grocery shopping.
- Report patient health status to nurses.
- Teach patients self‑care skills.
- Full‑time, part‑time, per‑diem salary: $17–$20 per hour (depending on experience and case).
