Senior Informatics Technical Specialist – Remote (Nationwide Travel)

The role is part of the Informatics Team and reports to the Informatics Area Manager.

In this role, you will:

• Integrate automation, informatics, and LIS systems to ensure seamless communication between laboratory instruments, network, and software by writing custom algorithms.
• Identify critical gaps and propose design improvements; lead and execute all laboratory informatics implementation activities.
• Integrate third‑party hardware (PC workstations, servers) and support customers to sustain business growth.

Essential Requirements:

• Associate degree in science, IT, or medical technology plus 3+ years of experience in a clinical lab environment or with a clinical LIS.
• Must be able to travel up to 85% of the time to client sites.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for the last three years.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Travel may involve flying and/or driving, including up to 85% overnight stays, primarily domestic but occasionally international.
• Must have an acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to lift, move, slide, raise, or place up to 50 lbs; stand, walk, sit, squat, kneel, and lift arms regularly.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in science or Medical Technology with laboratory experience; programming, networking, database, or LIS implementation skills a plus.
• Experience managing schedules, travel, assets, and expenses within guidelines.
• Background as a medical technologist and familiarity with Beckman Coulter instrumentation systems are strongly preferred.

Remote work policy:
The position is eligible for a remote work arrangement from your home. Additional information about this arrangement will be provided by the interview team. Flexibility and challenge are part of the Beckman Coulter work experience.

Hourly rate: $36.06–$43.27 (anticipated range, may change). The role also offers bonus/incentive pay. We provide a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
