Shared Living Provider (Home Based)

Spurwink’s Shared Living Program seeks individuals and families willing to share their home or apartment and provide support for an adult with an intellectual disability or autism. Shared living providers develop strong, supportive, often roommate or family‑like relationships with the individual in their home while making a real, lasting impact in the community.

Spurwink provides a laptop computer and printer/scanner/copier to support providers in completing their documentation in our Electronic Medical Record.

• Develop supportive, roommate or family‑like relationships with the adult with intellectual disability or autism living in the provider’s home.
• Support the individual in building a meaningful and connected life.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Adhere to all company policies, including the Driving policy and Incident Reporting.
• Participate in required training and certification programs.

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Hold Direct Support certification (provided by Spurwink).
• Hold CPR/First Aid certification (provided by Spurwink).
• Hold Shared Living Medication Course or CRMA certification (provided by Spurwink).
• Maintain a current driver's license with a clean driving record per Spurwink’s Driving policy.

Contracted position with a generous tax‑free stipend plus additional payment for room and board. Daily rate: $130.00 per day.

Experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities is preferred.
